My GrooveLily bandmates and I will all be in NYC next week to present a 45-minute showcase reading of SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES at the NAMT Festival (where we showcased STRIKING 12 back in 2004) – but only Gene will be on stage. He’ll be playing drums, and Bren and I will be in the audience cheering on the cast, which will include Peter Friedman as the King, and Tonya Pinkins as the Doctor/Bad Fairy.
